A very useful Fairy Garden native wildflower both for wild birds & Butterflies & for its decorative uses both in the garden & in the home. The plant produces ‘hedgehog’ like flower heads that are banded with small purple flowers. Once dried these are useful for dried flower arrangements. Sow the seeds where they are to grow from late Summer onwards. They will germinate over the winter & come to life the following Spring (you should mark the sowing position with a cane or other suitable marker to avoid disturbing the germinating seeds. These are not fussy plants & will grow almost anywhere. These are a great source of feed for finches & butterflies - adding a few to your garden will encourage both!!
