Vintage set of solid brass bookends that were made for the F. A. Davis Company to promote The Cyclopedia of Medicine book. F.A. Davis Co. is a Philadelphia publisher of medical texts & reference books established in 1879 & still in business today. These bookends were manufactured circa the 1930’s by the L. F. Grammes & Sons company of Allentown, PA which is impressed on the underside of each slide. Beautifully detailed & tooled with a lovely warm patina. Perfect for a doctor’s’ library or office. (books shown are not included) Together they weigh approx 2 lbs 4 oz. before boxing. Price includes shipping within the continental US.
