Vintage circa 1940s French striped cotton men’s workwear trousers. No size on these - please refer to the measurements on the listing. Please check the actual measurements below & enlarge the photos. We no longer accept returns if an item does not fit. Cotton chore pants, striped in shades of grey. Cut wide in the leg by design. Button fly with hook & eye fastening, cinch belt at the back, metal buttons around the waistband for braces/ suspenders. Change pocket at the back which has a v notched waistband. Areas of intricate period hand repair on the legs - see photo & a patched & darned pocket liner. Areas of repair & repair. Please note that these are originally men’s pants & will fit women very differently - do please check & compare the below measurements to establish if these will fit you as we no longer accept returns or offer exchanges. Look to have been let down at some stage in the past. Mismatched buttons, areas of wear & repair on the legs from across the decades. The buttons around the waistband have rusted. Show some surface marks, uneven colour, some light surface grazes, small holes, seam edge wear, the hand repairs as mentioned, some fray nicks & areas of wear & repair. Laundered & ironed & ready to wear. Measured at 38 at the waist in total (17 3/4 side to side) Outside leg length is 39 1/2 in total Inside leg/ inseam is 27 1/2 9 across the hems rise at the front is 16 1/2 rise at the back is 18 1/2 21 across at approx hip height (note that these are originally men’s pants & will fit women differently!)
