This listing is for one Vintage 1930’s Imperial Metal Manufacturing Corp. Heavy Hoosier Style Ribbed Glass & black Bakelite push button Salt & Pepper dispenser. If you’re into vintage kitchen decor, your collection just isn’t complete without this ultra cool black Bakelite Art Deco push button Salt & Pepper dispenser! This Art Deco salt & pepper dispenser will give you all the salt & pepper you want at the touch of a button! There is a black button for Pepper & a white button for Salt. The heavy Hoosier style ribbed glass domes screw on & off for easy refilling! The black Bakelite base is in great shape, as are the heavy ribbed Hoosier like Glass domes. The dispenser is fully functional; the push buttons & stoppers move easily. The dispenser stands about 2.5 tall, 2.5 wide & about 1.25 thick. The dispenser is in found condition; it has not been cleaned or tested with spices. There is some oxidation on one of the metal bars on the dispensing mechanism. It looks as though there is a cork gasket in between the glass & the Bakelite base on each side. There is a little gap on each side where the stopper meets the base. I don’t know if the cork gasket just needs to be realigned or if it has shrunk with age. With all the cork products on the market I’m sure it could be replaced if need be.
