This is my own blend of spices, ground & mixed by me to make this the best Thai 7 Spice blend I can possibly make.A Delicious & typically Thai blend of seven classic ingredients to bring an authentic thai flavour to any grilled meats, fish or stir fries. Ingredients Salt Chilli Garlic Coriander Lemon Peel Ginger Cinnamon Black Pepper Cumin 9 ingredients in a 7 spice formula? Salt & Lemon Peel are not regarded as spices! Recipe for Thai 7 Spice Pilau with Coriander Butter Ingredients 300 grams of basmati rice 6 medium eggs 50 grams lightly salted butter 20 grams pack fresh coriander, chopped 4 teaspoons of Thai 7 Spice teaspoon of ground turmeric 200 grams frozen peas 200 grams broad beans or beans of your choice 50 grams unsalted cashew nuts Cook the basmati rice in plenty of boiling water for about 10-12 minutes until tender. Meanwhile, hard boil the eggs in a small pan of simmering water for about 6 minutes. Carefully remove the eggs with a slotted spoon, & rinse out the pan. Add of the butter to the rinsed pan with half the coriander, & leave until melted. Set aside. Melt the remaining butter in a large frying pan or wok, add the Thai spices & turmeric, & cook gently for 30 seconds. Tip in the peas & beans plus 2 tablespoons of cold water, then heat the mixture gently for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are piping hot. Drain the rice thoroughly & add to the peas & beans. Add the remaining coriander & the cashew nuts, & stir over the heat until the rice is coated in the spices. Shell & quarter the eggs & serve on top of the rice mixture.
