This is such a lovely original antique item of considerable rarity & quality. It is a stunning hallmarked silver gilt repouss decorated carrying case. It is incredibly decorative with stunning detail. It opens from the top & side & inside contains a smelling salts bottle, still with the original label for Inexhaustible Smelling Salts, The Crown Perfumery Company London. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 & for makers Synyer & Beddoes. The condition is lovely - the glass bottle is in beautiful condition with the stopper fitting beautifully & a circular base & the label as shown. The case is just exquisite - gorgeous antique classical design. It has been well looked after & as typical for repousse has some minor little pin pricks as shown in the photo. This is a hugely collectable item which is extremely rare to find all in one piece with the original bottle & even the contents. The case is 2 inches high & has a nice loop for a chatelaine & blank cartouche on both sides. As an antique item it will show signs of wear commensurate with age. Please examine the photos carefully & do ask any questions, I am happy to help.
