My Blackrose collection consists of natural materials that are produced using traditional techniques in various disciplines, such as painting or dyeing the fabrics with plants & herbs. The elements of these fabrics add softness & texture to my collection. The shoes are sewn with organic linen thread. The shoes are processed by hand, which requires a two-day drying of the shoes on the last. The many small florets are sewn by hand & here traditional handwork is preserved while experimenting with craftsmanship. The fabric is impregnated & the shoes can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
