An extra deep, raised wooden trough. Designed & made by me for flowers & vegetables to create an impressive display in your garden. It is an extra deep trough made to either 30cm or 50cm deep & wide at the base for maximum root growth. A beautiful country style wooden planters hand made by me from all REPURPOSED timber. The is timber cut & shaped & then sanded & smoothed to bring out the natural pattern & grain. Set on a sturdy wooden frame to raise the planter to a working height. Robust assembly using screws, coach bolts & glued joints. 18-19 mm spruce timber makes up the main trough & re-cycled timber used to make the frame. All the timber is treated with an eco-friendly anti-mould & then coated with 2 clear coats of outdoor oil giving a grey aged pine finish that is water repellent & natural to look at. I have added plywood feet to resist damage from wet surfaces. Planters will survive outdoor conditions for many years. I recommend bringing the planter inside every 2 or 3 years during the winter for even longer life & giving a fresh coat of decking oil or similar. All material is reused timber & I choose the best possible pieces with some markings & knots in places. Surfaces are rubbed down & checked for safety & presentation. Packed in re-cycled packing. Not made in China! Zero airmiles! It’s all made in my workshop at Bausley Hill, in Powys, Wales. They do take quite a while to make & so I hope you don’t mind waiting a few days. I can make these planters to your choice of dimensions but my standard range is: LENGTH 50 75 100 150cm WIDTH 50cm TROUGH DEPTH 30 or 50cm OVERALL HEIGHT 80cm Planter volume is approximately 150/200/250/325 litres & so it will take a large amount of compost. Dimensions & colour may vary due to the nature of the material available at the time of making your planter. I can only deliver to mainland UK addresses.
