It was first cultivated by humans around 8000BCE & is one of the first domesticated plants. It can grow to 20 feet tall & 10 feet wide in its natural environment. It is usually seen around 10 feet tall & 8 feet wide. The leaves can be 10 feet long & 2-3 feet wide. The flowers are a creamy yellow in color. It prefers to grow in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Keep this one on the wetter side as they are big feeders. A humus-rich soil will help performance. Zones 9-11 Germination Soak seeds for 24 hours in water. Sow seeds 1 deep & lightly cover. Keep moist in a bright spot. Bottom heat should be set at 70-75F. Germination is in 7-30 days.
