Quantity: 20 Seeds Moldavian Dragonhead, aka Dracocephalum Moldavica, is a member of the mint family, Lamiaceae. The leaves from this plant have a bright lemony-mint flavour, & make an excellent tea or tonic. it tastes somewhat like lemon balm, but unique in its own right. unlike lemon balm, Moldavian Dragonhead retains its flavour & aroma for a long time in storage. This plant thrives in many environments, but prefers to have good sunshine & a decent amount of moisture in the soil. It doesn’t grow well in the shade, so partial to full sun is recommended for the healthiest plants. The flowers are a great source of nectar so they attract bees & other pollinators alike. because of this, planting Moldavian Dragonhead anywhere near the garden will increase pollination of crops & other plants in the area. Growing Instructions: Moldavian Dragonhead seeds may be planted directly in the ground in early spring, or started in pots 4-6 weeks before last frost. Sow the seeds on the surface to 1/8 inch into the soil. once established, the plants don’t require very much attention other than a good mulching & a weekly watering. These plants are quite vigorous, so just a few of them can provide a full winter supply of its highly aromatic leaves. Moldavian Dragonhead is resistant to deer, pests, drought, & flood; It’s a very robust plant. All seeds are organic & open pollinated.
