A pretty silver mint flower botanical rectangular pendant with a curved bottom edge. The impression of a mint flower comes from a flower I picked from our mint in the garden, the flower is raised from the background & I have patinated it lightly as I thought it brought out all the detail of the mint flower which are spear shaped as they grow. I have hung it on an 46cm/18 sterling silver Spiga chain which is lovely & flexible & there is a good sized carabiner clasp for the closure. The pendant is made from fine silver metal clay, which has a high purity of 99.9%, sterling is 92.5% & if you haven’t come across metal clay it was first created by the Japanese back in 1990 in gold & then in turn silver, it is microscopic particles of silver mixed into a binder, it can be sculpted, textured, rolled etc. it is then fired whereupon the binder burns away & the particles fuse together or sinter into a solid metal piece. The pendant is 3.7cm high & 1.5cm wide, in inches that is 1 3/8 high & 1/2 inch wide. The metal clay I have used also has the added bonus of being recycled silver, a little kinder for the planet!
