This is a pretty pair of hand painted porcelain wall sconces signed by the artist, Elaine. They are lovingly painted with pretty blue to mauve flowers with green & brown leaves. I have no idea what the original purpose of these little treasures was meant to be. Some of my thoughts over the years … holy water fonts but they would need an insert for the water as each has two holes in the bottom; cute wall planters for succulents but again, would need a small insert, storage for small wooden matches on either side of a fireplace; candle holders ???
