Star Anise has a lovely flavour, is sweet yet spicy & has hint of liquorice. It makes a great addition to cooking in both savoury & sweet dishes. Packed in airtight, light resistant, re-sealable & recyclable bags that allow some of the petals to be used while the remainder can be stored in a cool place for future use. The bags are wrapped in tissue paper & placed in a cardboard postage box. Cocktails - Try adding one to your gin & tonic with a couple of juniper berries & a slice of dried orange peel, it creates a lovely warm aromatic taste. We here at Polly’s petals have also soaked them in gin for a couple of months, this creates a wonderfully flavoured gin. Also great added to mulled drinks on chilly days like wine or cider. Or simply add boiling water & drink like a tea… delicious! All our products are 100% natural & additive free.
