Boechera pulchra is a perennial herb in the Brassicaceae family. Some common names are Beautiful Rockcress & Prince’s Rock Cress. It is native to elevations between 2,000 - 7,000 feet in California, Nevada, & Colorado. It grows to 30 inches tall & 24 inches wide from a woody base. There can be 10-30 flowers at one time displayed on 1-4 hairy stems from March to June. It prefers full sun & sandy, well-drained soil. Perfect for dry, hot slopes. Zones 6-9 Germination Sow seeds the thickness of the seeds & lightly cover with a medium. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover with plastic but maintain a temperature around 65-75F.
