On offer is this lovely small antique dish / bowl. The silver plating shines up well still - notable ware however around all edges & rims including the handles & a small area around the body exposing the base copper metal; the base stem has also been repaired / re-attached at some stage with notable solder & discolored adhesive present (please refer to images); light scuffs & scratches too commensurate with age as well as a couple of dimples / small dents which catch the light but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It’s of traditional navette form, plain in design yet elegant in appearance. The inside area is re-markedly clean still & has polished up a treat. Unmarked for a maker, Sheffield produced (Old Sheffield Plate), circa second quarter of the 19th century. It measures a charming 15cm (almost 6 inches) handle to handle end, by 63mm by 9cm (3 & 1/2 inches) in total height to the top of the handles. A delightful period antique which despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for Tracked Airmail. I also offer combined postage options so please do get in touch if you’re interested in more than one item/ lot.
