It gives to read the description, the history, as well as the use & the virtues of the plants. The plants are represented in their entirety, accompanied by details of their flowers & their seeds. A work most notable for its fine illustrations in the Pierre-Joseph Redout style of stipple-engraving by Turpin & Anne-Ernestine Panckoucke. Dimension approx : 25 cm x 15 cm / 9.84 x 5.90 inches.
